VIRGINIA WATER, England May 27 (Reuters) - German Marcel Siem hit a hole-in-one at the 160-yard second hole as he made a flying start to the final round of the PGA Championship in stifling heat on Sunday.

A cool eight-iron was all the 31-year-old required to record the first ace of the Wentworth tournament and he made a rapid rise up the leaderboard following birdies at the first and fourth holes.

Siem rocketed to six-under-par, five strokes behind world number two and two-shot leader Luke Donald who tees off at 1240 GMT. (Edited by Mark Meadows)
